Partyro UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Wilmersdorfer Str. 25a, 10585 Berlin, Germany (“Partyro”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard personal data when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (together, the “Services”).
Data controller: Partyro UG (haftungsbeschränkt). Contact: dev@partyro.com. Operator details are also listed in our Imprint.
Our products include:
- Let's Join — Spontaneous hangouts with people near you — a social app for expats, nomads, and anyone new in town.
- Togethina — Date-night experiences for couples — discover and book meaningful shared activities.
Individual products may publish additional product-specific privacy notices. Where those notices conflict with this policy for that product, the product-specific notice applies for that product.
1. Data we collect
Depending on the Service you use, we may collect:
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, and sign-in timestamps.
- Profile information: display name, photos, bio, city, preferences, and similar details you provide.
- Usage content: plans, bookings, RSVPs, messages, reviews, or other content you create within a product.
- Location data: approximate location or city you provide, or device location where you grant permission — not continuous background tracking unless you allow it on your device.
- Payment information: processed by payment providers (for example Stripe); we do not store full payment card numbers.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser or app version, device type, crash logs, and similar diagnostics.
- Support and moderation: messages you send to support, reports, and related account actions.
2. How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Provide, authenticate, and secure the Services.
- Operate product features (for example hangouts, bookings, profiles).
- Process payments and send transactional communications.
- Prevent abuse, enforce terms, and handle reports.
- Improve performance, fix bugs, and understand usage (where permitted, including with consent for analytics).
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their marketing.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
Depending on the processing, we rely on:
- Contract — to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, and product improvement (balanced against your rights).
- Consent — optional analytics, marketing emails, push notifications, and precise location where required.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share information with:
- Other users — as designed by the product (for example public profiles, plan participation, or booking details shared with a provider).
- Service providers — hosting, authentication, email and push delivery, maps, payments, analytics (with consent where required), and customer support, only to provide the Services on our instructions.
- Authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
Processors are bound by data processing agreements where required under Article 28 GDPR.
5. Cookies and tracking
Our websites use essential cookies and, with your consent, optional analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy to manage preferences. Mobile apps use equivalent device storage for consent and settings.
6. Data security
We implement industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, secure authentication, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we anonymise or delete personal data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention periods (for example up to 10 years for accounting records under German law), backup cycles, and data needed to resolve disputes or enforce terms.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA (or where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability (structured, machine-readable copy).
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).
- Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact dev@partyro.com. You may also use in-product account deletion where available.
9. Children
Our Services are directed to adults. Unless a product expressly states otherwise, you must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the account promptly.
10. International transfers
Data may be processed in the European Union and, where necessary, in other countries where our service providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and processor agreements as required by GDPR Chapter V.
11. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this website with an updated date. Material changes may be notified in-product or by email where appropriate.
